Riders Gang est un jeune crew de skaters des Sables d’Olonne. Ils partagent sur les réseaux sociaux leurs tricks, découvertes de spots, tests de planches, trucks… démocratisant ainsi la pratique du skate !
Comment l'idée de personnaliser une planche vous est venue ?
C’est pour avoir un skate représentant notre chaîne YouTube que l’idée nous est venue. Louis s’est vu offrir un bon pour personnaliser un skateboard donc on en a profité !
Comment avez-vous choisi votre graphisme ?
Le graphisme reprend donc notre logo Riders Gang. L’idée était de créer un graphisme simple avec notre logo et notre nom, car la planche était destinée à être skatée. Nous avons utilisé Illustrator et placé les éléments sur le template du skate popsicle.

Riders Gang customisation
Riders Gang is a young crew of skateboarders from Les Sables d’Olonne in the west of France. They share on social networks their tricks, discovery of skate spots, test of boards, trucks… Therefore democratising skateboarding !
How did the idea of making a custom board come to your mind ?
We wanted to have a deck representing our YouTube channel. Louis family offered him a gift voucher to personalise your own deck so we made it !
How did you choose your graphic ?
The graphic uses our Riders Gang logo. The idea was to create a simple graphic with our logo and name because the deck would be used for skateboarding. We worked on Illustrator and positionned the elements on the popsicle deck template.

Which advice would you give to the future board customisers ?
To create a beautiful graphic, offer it to a friend or keep it for yourself.
One last word ?
We have a difficulty with the impossibility to put several words at different places in your custom interface but with the template it was good and the result is pretty nice !
The board was skated during 4 months and we can see that the engraving stays slightly visible. The engraved logo has been covered by wax (used for sliding on rails etc), you can easily remove it thanks to a sponge.
