What’s your artistic universe ?

Universe itself. Once one stranger told me I had the eyes of the universe, so I guess I just try to put down on paper what I see through those eyes. That’s mostly just mundane things, emotions and thoughts that I cope with at the exact moment, problems which are bothering me about life, love and growing up.

How would you define your graphic style ?

I work with ink and lines, in black and white technique, and it’s actually quite simple and linear style.

What is your relation with skateboarding ?

This relation goes back to my childhood, my older brother was a skater, and I’ve always been hanging out with him and his friends from dawn to dusk. Never actually learned how to skate properly (but I was good at playing Tony Hawk game though), and have always loved this kind of extreme sports and its lifestyle.
Skateboarding is a way of thinking, a way of living, and it has actually molded me into the person I am today. In past few years I switched to snowboarding, I’m quite better in it 🙂

What is the connection between your art and skateboarding ?

Well, there’s no particular connection, I guess it’s just awesome to have your artwork engraved on a skateboard. Never thought about it much, but I guess one empowers the other, so why not to connect them?

How did you envisage this collaboration ? Why this drawing ?

I’m really enthusiastic to be part of this collaboration. I love DIY work, and these crafted boards are pretty much more awesome than anything else 🙂
There’s no reason why I chose this drawing, but I hope it will convey some emotion to a person who will use it. If so, I am happy 🙂
