How did the idea of making a custom board come to your mind ?
I wanted to make an original gift and my husband skates a lot.
How did you choose your graphic ?
I took a photo of our son who was 6 months old… An easy choice. Then I went on your interface and I added a message.
She also had to delete the background for improving the rendering of the laser engraving (We advise a unicolor background). This website does it within a few seconds and it generally works well !
To engrave photos, we use the rasterization process. Since the laser only engraves the black dots, we vary the density of black dots compared to the white ones in order to recreate the grey shades. The rendering is textured as we can see on the zoom below:

Comment as-tu choisi et réalisé ton graphisme ?
J’ai pris une photo de notre fils qui avait 6 mois… un choix facile. Puis j’ai rajouté un message sur votre interface.
Il lui a fallu également supprimer le fond pour que la gravure rende mieux (on conseille du moins un fond uni). Ce site le fait en quelques secondes et cela marche généralement bien !
Pour graver les photos, nous utilisons la technique du tramage: le laser grave uniquement si le point est noir donc pour recréer les nuances de gris, nous faisons varier la densité de points noirs par rapport aux points clairs (le bois brut de la planche en dessous de la teinture). Le rendu est texturé comme on peut le voir sur le zoom ci-dessous:
